Data Wranglers is a specialist business that fixes operational data problems others avoid. We work with mid-sized operational businesses in agriculture, mining services, logistics, and manufacturing. Founder's Story
I'm David Anderson, and I started Data Wranglers because I've lived the problem we now solve.

I spent five years running operations at Australia's largest commercial avocado nursery. During that time, we grew from 21 to 47 staff and increased throughput by 43%. But the growth nearly broke us. Not because of the operations themselves, but because our data systems couldn't keep up.

We were making six-figure planting decisions based on spreadsheets that required manual fixes every week. Our forecasting was rebuilt from scratch every month. Critical business logic lived in the head of one person who'd been there for years, and then left. When things went wrong, we often didn't know until it was too late to fix it cheaply.

So I fixed it. I built the data systems we needed, learned to automate what was manual, and reconciled our operational activity with our financial reality. The result was 27% higher profitability and the confidence to scale without constant firefighting.

After proving this worked in agriculture, I moved into data engineering for a large-scale mining operation. There, I built contractor labour reconciliation systems that tracked tens of millions of dollars in annual wages and caught significant errors and potential fraud that had been invisible to existing processes.
I left that role in 2025 to start Data Wranglers because operational businesses deserve better than generic consulting advice from people who've never run an operation.
